Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir unchanged: Gilani
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said on Monday Pakistan’s principled stance on the Kashmir problem remained unchanged and the government would continue extending political, moral and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmir. He was talking to AJK President Raja Zulqarnian Khan and PM Farooq Haider who called on him at Prime Minister’s House. Zulqarnain praised Gilani’s endeavours in raising the Kashmir problem at international fora. Separately, the AJK PM called on President Asif Zardari at the Presidency. Zardari felicitated Haider on his election as the AJK premier and hoped that the latter would dedicate his energies for the development of AJK. Zardari called for prompt completion of matters related to reconstruction in earthquake-hit areas, rehabilitation of Mangla Dam affectees and development of New Mirpur city. Haider thanked the president for his active interest in development projects in AJK and assured him that he would uphold the supremacy of merit, law and justice and would leave no stone unturned for the development and uplift of the people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. staff report
